I spend a lot of times in Mississippi woods and waters. I have heard some tales of creatures that were spotted in Mississippi. If you or anyone else has seen anything unusual out there please share your information and pictures with everyone and the location of the sighting.
There have been stories since my parents were young about an animal that was spotted in the Suqualena and Collinsville area that was part bear, part panther, part dog? or something else. Some have seen the beast called "The Suqualena It", crossing the road in front of their headlights and others have spotted it while hunting in the woods. It has been described by many as bigger than a cat or dog but with dark, blackish fur and a mouth that's like a bear's with yellow eyes like a panther. It has a long tail, but walks more upright. Animal oddities have intrigued many people, and most of us aren't sure if it could be a cross-species of some kind or some sort of beast of legend that has superstitions and evil attributes attached to it. Whatever the case, these creatures are mysterious, and beg to be discussed and discovered.
